"The cost of selling alcohol just went up... A Supreme Court decision shakes the industry."
Arkansas Times, August 1997 Reporting my landmark case Shannon v. Wilson which first established a cause of action when alcohol is illegally sold to minors who injure themselves or others as a result. (Bars and liquor stores had to actually be careful after that!)

WHEN INTOXICATION LEADS TO TRAGEDY

Bar and liquor store owners that profit from an illegal sale to minors or intoxicated persons are responsible for the harm caused by their customers. My firm pioneered the dram shop cause of action in Arkansas and has since litigated numerous cases to very successful resolution.

MEDICAL MALPRACTICE

All professionals are all held to certain standards or rules of their practice. That is what people pay for and that is what they should get. When health care is involved, ignoring those rules can result in life-long injury, massive medical bills and even death. As parents we teach our children to take responsibility for their actions. Professionals are responsible if they violate the rules.

WHEN DRIVERS FAIL TO FOLLOW THE RULES

Determining the true cause of an accident can take hard work. Evidence does not find itself and insurance companies can be too quick to close the book. I once traveled to New Zealand to take the deposition of the negligent driver of a tractor-trailer rig that hit my client head-on… and then quickly left the company and the country.
